- Amidst the new normal, it is important to gather mental energy and tolerance. To keep up a positive frame of mind, attitude and approach definitely; is the key to dealing with the current situation.
- We all know the process of life, that nothing stays permanent, so this phase too will pass away soon. All we need at this stage is a strong belief to be inculcated in our mind through two magical words: Visualisation (E.g.: Coming days are going to be the best) and Affirmations (E.g.: I am in good health, I am energetic). Make a list of these beliefs for great mental health for the coming days.
- Worth a thought, there is NO LOCKDOWN ON YOUR LEARNING PROCESS. Take this period as a challenge to develop your creativity by learning something new and involving yourself in the hobbies that you left behind. So, go ahead, this is time to explore, create and innovate something new!!
- Remember, a healthy mind should always be your priority. Your happiness is your priority. Choose what you can from the limited sources to keep up your mental health positive to the fullest.
- Understanding what we can control and what we can’t control is the need of the hour in this present situation. Make a list of things that is in your control (e.g. check on sleep, food habits, having a routine, productive day) and what you can’t control (E.g.: what will happen tomorrow, what’s stored in the future). When you start concentrating on things that you can control, you will surely have a calming effect on your mental status.
- Self-motivation would be the key to deal with our day-to-day routine. Acknowledge any tasks you do, this will help to boost your self-confidence. Have faith and believe you are driven to make a difference.
- It’s essential that you peep into your inner self. Sit calmly, close your eyes take deep breaths, and analyze your feelings and your thought process. Remember – All thoughts are not always facts. Thoughts are just thoughts. Be open to accept and acknowledge the way you feel. This will help you to understand your inner strengths and weaknesses. Take this as a challenge, and align your new routine with a higher purpose.
- It’s the time to be here and now. Be optimistic about the coming days and remember you cannot control the events that are going to happen but definitely you have a complete hold on how positively can you deal with the up comings.
