Prioritizing Academics Amidst Festive Mood!

……A Note for Students

Festival time is always fun! And these nine days of Navratri celebrations its way special for us. This is a time, away from our daily hassles/ less load in the school work, we have  family get-togethers, friends /relatives visit and let us not forget the Garba celebrations!  Colourful dresses, a mix of traditional and modern songs to dance along the beats, enjoying variety of sweets; we would love to enjoy to the fullest!!

However, this is also the time when you are in the mid of your academic session! Some may have completed the mid-term exams, and for few others it may be approaching soon after Navratri. However, in both instances ,it is important that you don’t miss to prioritize your academics.

Academic progress cannot be kept aside for sure! It is essential that you strike a balance between academics and festive mood. Of course, this applies to every student who may be in lower grade or even those who are going to appear for their boards

In observance with the above, keep a track of the below mentioned tips!

·   The magical formula is sorting your day into combination of studies and fun Allocation of time is the key. Divide your day accordingly.

·     Sleeping cycle may change due to Navratri schedules. Try to maintain at least 7 hours of sound sleep. This will keep you energetic throughout the day.

·   Watch what you eat!! You need to keep your body hydrated. Food habits have direct impact on your concentration and performance hence, equally important for productive studies.

·    Surely, school would be a routine affair for few, in that case after returning, avoid scrolling your mobile and devote few hours to your studies.  Have a TO DO LIST handy, so that you do not miss any Homework/assignment.

·     If you are attending tuitions, try to absorb the maximum there, so when you are home, you can quickly go through the chapter and cover the main concepts. This makes learning faster.

·     Daily, plan one subject self-study, so that no subject is left out! Following a Weekly Chart, helps you to keep a track of subjects.

·    Strictly recommended, devote one hour for Math practice. The more you practice the better the scores! And more the gap the lesser the marks! Choose now!

·       Keep a day of a week only for revising what you have learnt.

·       You might be able to give less hours each day. It’s alright! The good point is you are prioritizing your studies.

·        If you are skipping school, get those hours used for learning new chapters.

·     For those who have exams approaching, as per the exam timetable, get started with your revision. While doing so do consider the paper style format.  You need to avoid learning any new chapter/concepts at this moment.

·       Have a schedule planned for the next day, before you get going forevening celebrations. This will give you clarity to function better!

All that matters is proper planning, living in the present and developing the right attitude.  Do make use of the above given tips during the festive season, and get the most out of them. ENJOY!! HAVE A GREAT NAVRATRI………
